2019 Chris Munn 7s
Tournament Location
The Chris Munn Rugby 7s Tournament will be played at Norwich University's Sabine Field on Saturday April 27, 2019. The tournament has raised awareness of ALS and funds for an endowed rugby scholarship in honor of Colonel (retired) Chris Munn Norwich University Class of 1981.
Since 2014, the tournament and fund-raising efforts have generated over $101,000 enabling the awarding of six scholarships for deserving ruggers. The goal for 2019 is to reach $125,000. Give now to this very important cause »

The 7s Tournament on Saturday April 27 on Sabine Field will run throughout the day starting at 10 AM.

The Chris Munn Sevens will feature many of the top men's and women’s collegiate teams from the eastern United States.

About Chris Munn
Chris played both rugby and lacrosse during his four years at Norwich (1977–1981) and served as captain of the Rugby Team his senior year.
Chris continued to play rugby with various Army teams and club sides in Washington State and overseas while serving on active duty. After a distinguished military career, Chris retired from the Army as a Colonel. He then served as the Chief of Staff for the Mission Support Element at Fort Drum, New York.
In 2013, Chris was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease) a progressive, neurodegenerative muscular disease that is incurable. Today, Chris continues his personal fight against ALS and is dedicated to raising awareness of the disease.
