The No. 5 nationally ranked Endicott men's rugby team defeated No. 11 Bryant, 17-5, on Sunday evening to capture the Colonial Coast Rugby Conference (CCRC) Championship at Pine Banks Park. 

A couple of breaks for the Bulldogs, and the match could have easily swung the other way. The Bulldogs played tough defense for the entire 80 minutes, dominated the scrum, and were knocking on the try line several times, but Endicott was a formidable foe! The lone score of the match was from Junior Andrew Ahlquist.

The loss was not the end of the season for the Bulldogs, however. With the season's performance, they are the conference's top seed in the National Collegiate Rugby Bowl Championship series that was held on November 19 and 20 at Pine Banks in Malden.
