Life University (W)
The Life University women's rugby team is a new varsity program but has already proven its ability to compete at a high level. The women’s team played six scrimmages last spring and finished with a 3-3 record, followed by a 7-1 record in the fall.
The team played its first official game as a member of the DI Southeast Independent Rugby Conference on Jan. 31, winning in convincing fashion over Florida State 90-0. Life followed up with dominating wins over Tennessee and Central Florida as the spring sevens season heats up for this new national contender.
The Running Eagles are coached by Rosalind Chou.
