Bowling Green MAC Champion
Bowling Green defeated Western Michigan 31-22 to win the Mid American Conference championship and the right to play at the ACRC Bowl Series.
The match started tight with both teams feeling each other out. Bowling Green and Western Michigan had advanced through the Northern Division of the Mid-American Conference finishing #1, #2. At the half, it was Western Michigan University 5 and Bowling Green University 10.
Bowling Green came out strong in the second frame pushing the lead to 31 - 12 before taking their foot off the pedal. Western Michigan scored 10 unanswered points in the last 15 minutes of the contest but it wasn't enough.
Bowling Green punched their ticket to the American Collegiate Rugby Championship Bowl Series in Charlotte. Bowling Green will play American International College at 11:15am on Saturday November 22nd, 2014. A large crowd is anticipated at the Rugby Athletic Center.
