University of Lethbridge

The University of Lethbridge Pronghorns women’s rugby 15s team captured Canada West bronze. The ‘Horns defeated the University of Calgary Dinos 36-29 at McMahon Stadium on Sunday, October 20.  

The contest was a back-and-forth affair and saw four lead changes.  

Lethbridge secured the match's first try, but the Dinos responded quickly. Calgary led 17-12 at the half, but the Pronghorns controlled the ball in the second half to create some space and managed to hold off a late-match surge by the Dinos to secure the medal win. 

The University of British Columbia Thunderbirds captured their fifth straight conference championship, defeated the University of Victoria Vikes 51-22 in the gold medal game.
