2007 Surfside Sevens

After the tremendous Surfsides of 2004, 2005, 2006, we wouldn't have expected any different for 2007. Each year the Surfside winners receive custom Surfside Sevens rugby gear including balls, pint glasses and Tiki trophies. A special thank you goes out to Royall Lyme for their support in 2004, 2005 and 2006. We planned even more for 2007.

The tournament ball will be feastively colored, not like a beach ball (2006), but even cooler. There was plenty of give-away's for all participates including beverage openers. 2007 TOURNAMENT TEAMS 07/24/07 - The 2007 teams list is complete . Is your team on the list? I hope so! The schedule will be available in the next few days. We have an incredible location right across the street from the beach with two beautiful pitches. A men's premier division, men's and women's open division and the always popular VERY open division was present just for the fun of it. The boys U19 division was back again in 2007!

With the beachfront Windrift Hotel and restaurant sponsoring the event and located right across the street from the main pitch, we expected and saw sandy spectators lined across the fields. Teams brought their friends and their family for a day of rugby, beach, fun and sun at the fourth annual Surfside Sevens tournament. As usual, there was after tournament festivities for participants immediately folowing the tournament at the Windrift. The Windrift Bar is just across the street from the 80th Street pitches.

Rafael Zahralddin did a spectacular job in his first year as tournment director.
