Gamecocks Spoil James Madison's D1 Debut

The University of South Carolina Men’s Rugby team suited up this past weekend in Columbia against James Madison University to kick off the fall 2015 season.
The JMU Dukes were recently promoted to Division I (Keystone Conference) after winning the USA Rugby College 7s DII National Championship in May, but proved no match for the reigning SEC champion Gamecocks
South Carolina maintained a quick pace against JMU and kept up the pressure throughout, dominating on offense for a 62-14 victory. Man of the Match honors were awarded to senior 8 man Mike Mahon from the Bronx, NY and senior scrumhalf Brian Keown from Newton Square, PA.
