It’s a Texas-sized battle for position and respect as arch rivals Texas State and North Texas square off this weekend in San Marcos.
Texas State has been dominant of late against all comers with the exception of a loss to state powerhouse A&M. Undefeated North Texas, ranked #47 in the ACRC Coaches Poll, is coming off an 89-8 defeat of Rice on Oct. 25. The Mean Green notched a big win against #29-ranked A&M earlier this month.
Both teams have accepted invitations to the ACRC Bowl Series, but they will not play each other in Charlotte, making this weekend the one chance for one of these contenders to claim victory in this heated regional rivalry.
