ODU Coach Herron named publisher of Inside Business
Mike Herron, a graduate of Old Dominion University and coach of the school's inter-collegiate club rugby team, has been named publisher at Inside Business, the Hampton Roads business Journal. Pat Richardson, president and publisher of Pilot Media, made the announcement earlier this month.
Herron has been a visible media executive in Hampton Roads for many years, having served in a variety of management positions at The Virginian-Pilot. Previously, Herron managed Hampton Roads Business Weekly, a business publication that was part of the daily newspaper.
He and Power first worked together when Pilot Media investigated launching an independent business journal, which later resulted in the launch of Inside Business.
Herron’s ODU Monarchs compete this month at URugby Sevens-Virginia Beach, a rugby tournament taking place April 29-May 1 at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex.
