Rugby Pennsylvania
Rugby Pennsylvania Inc. is a 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, organized in 2012 to act as a State Rugby Organization under the auspices of USA Rugby, the national governing body for the sport of Rugby Union in the United States. As the officially recognized State Rugby Organization for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Rugby Pennsylvania is the exclusive organizer and administrator of youth and high school rugby within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Rugby Pennsylvania is governed by a Board of Directors who are responsible for the business of the corporation. The Board manages Rugby PA’s legal obligations and compliance, financial infrastructure and stability, and also directs strategic growth initiatives. Directors are elected to two-year terms by the sitting Board of Directors.
In order to focus on these vast areas of responsibility, the Board has created the Rugby Commission to manage day-to-day elements of Rugby PA’s various programs, including competitions, camps and clinics, state championships, and high performance teams and development. The Rugby Commission is elected by the Rugby PA membership and determines its own composition, number, and manner of acting as necessary to meet the program objectives of Rugby PA.
